Polyethylene wax is a white powder with a softening point of about 100-117 ℃. It is suitable for hard PVC single and twin-screw extrusion, with a common amount of 0.1-0.5phr.
During the production of PVC pipe profiles, there will be the phenomenon of unsmooth and poor brightness. Paraffin, as a PVC lubricant, has low softening point and poor dispersion. Due to the high temperature in the production process, the paraffin is basically liquefied and evaporated into gaseous state. It is difficult for paraffin to play a role in the application of PVC pipes. The dispersion effect is not good, and the PVC pipe profiles will be stained from the surface.
PVC pipe profiles produced by polyethylene wax (PE wax) will not have such problems, because the softening point of polyethylene wax wood body is high, and under high temperature conditions, polyethylene wax (PE wax) will only become liquid, with high viscosity and poor dispersion of polyethylene wax (PE wax), but the brightness is very good. If the viscosity of polyethylene wax (PE wax) is low, the dispersion is very good and the brightness is OK.

The function of PE wax as external lubricant is mainly to improve the friction between polymer melt and hot metal surface of processing equipment. It has poor compatibility with polymer and is easy to migrate from the melt to the outside, so it can form a lubricating thin layer at the interface between plastic melt and metal.
